Our community educators

Male family violence is a product of inequality at a societal level, so we continually advocate for non-violence and an end to gendered and other forms of inequality. Men's Referral Service Community Educators are available to make presentations on responding to and preventing male violence against women and children

Our community educators can present to either mixed gender or male-only audiences. The voices of women and children affected by family violence influence all of their presentations.

About our community educators

The Community Educators Team (CET) mobilises particularly experienced Men's Referral Service telephone counsellors to give talks to community groups and professional networks about the Men's Referral Service, Men's Behaviour Change Programs, and what men can do to take a stand against men's use of family violence. CET presenters provide presentations on their own, or in partnership with other family violence prevention agencies.

CET presenters are trained in public speaking, presentation techniques and engaging with their audience. Their role is to dispel myths concerning family violence and encourage men to take positive steps towards ending male violence against women and children.
